Gold Wedding Programs and Menus

By Autumn

If there is one thing that will live on in your wedding album in terms of stationery, it is your wedding programs, menus, place cards and decor!  With that being said, it’s important not to leave your day-of stationery as an afterthought.  Today we’re highlighting our Medallion Monogram invitation design and the matching trifold programs and menus.  Shown in antique gold and charcoal gray, these programs and menus will make a lasting impression at your wedding and reception.

Gold Wedding Programs and Menus

This elegant suite features a circular monogram with the last name initial of the new couple.  The wedding menus shown are tea length (3.75×9″) and work great tucked into a napkin or placed on each place setting.  The trifold programs include three panels for printing and are a unique choice compared to a standard bifold program.

We hope you enjoyed these elegant wedding accessories.  For more information on ordering, visit our main store Shine Wedding Invitations.

Aquamarine and Orange Wedding Invitation Inspiration

By Autumn

Aquamarine and orange is a fun, vintage color combination for a modern, yet retro wedding invitation.  Our Antique Vintage wedding invitation, shown in aquamarine below, is perfectly accented by orange decor and roses and the engraver’s font gives an overall vintage feel.

While this palette features both aquamarine and orange, it is not necessary to use the entire color scheme on the invitations.  By keeping the wedding invitations aquamarine and omitting the orange, they remain very classy and timeless, but still pair well with the decor and flowers, creating a unified look and feel.

This particular wedding invitation can be done in any variety of colors, and the brightly colored belly band really adds a nice pop of color without being too overwhelming.  For more information on our Antique Vintage wedding invitations, visit our main store Shine Wedding Invitations, or browse or blog for more pictures.

Wedding Invitation Components and Pieces

By Autumn

Ever wonder exactly what components go into a wedding invitation suite?  Which pieces you need and which you don’t?  We’ve got your answers right here!  Check out our handy dandy infographic on the most common wedding invitation components and pieces, then read on for a more detailed explanation of each.

Wedding Invitation Components - Wedding Invitations Pieces

Common Wedding Invitation Pieces and Components

Wedding Invitations:

If you’re going to be having a wedding, then you certainly need an invitation!  Typically sized at 5×7″ (US standard), your wedding invitation will fit into a standard A7 (7.25×5.25″) envelope with a 2.5″ flap.  On the invitation you will list the hosts, the couple, and the ceremony date, time and location.

The envelope will list the invited guests and their address on the front, and your return address on the back flap.  You can hand write the addresses, hire a calligrapher, or if you will be purchasing your wedding invitations from Shine Wedding Invitations, then we recommend that you use our easy and convenient guest addressing service, where we print your return and guest addresses in fonts to match your invitation suite.

Response Cards:

Response cards are included as an easy way for your guests to accept or decline your invitation.  Sized at 3.5×4.75″, standard response cards fit into A1 envelopes (3.625×5.125″).  Printed response cards are highly recommended for your wedding invitation suite.  On this card there will be a line for your guests to reply, a response date, and entree choices if applicable.  The name line is traditionally denoted with an “M” and the guests are expected to fill in the rest of their title (Mr. or Mrs.) and names.

We also recommended pre-printing your return addressing and pre-stamping the envelope for your guests’ convenience.  Some older etiquette books say that the guests are supposed to take care of that part, however in today’s busy world it’s best to make it as easy as possible as for your guests so you get the majority of your responses back.  Plus it’s just plain nice!

Small Enclosures:

Both enclosures are inserts that go along with the main invitation.

The small enclosure (coming in at a miniature size of 3.5×4″) can be used for any variety of information that you’d like to share with your guests.  It is often used as a reception card, denoting the time and address of your reception, if it is at a different venue than the ceremony.  If your reception and ceremony are in the same location, the small enclosure card can also be used for registries, future address, wedding website, morning after brunch details, parking, or any other brief information that will help your guests.

Large Enclosures:

The large enclosure is normally used for listing accommodations for out of town guests if you have blocked off rooms at a hotel nearby.  It can also be used for brief directions, rehearsal dinner information, activities, or any other information that would help your guests coordinate their attendance.

If you are having a large rehearsal dinner or a morning after brunch, putting that information on the large or small enclosure along and including it in the invitations of the invited guests is a very convenient and cost effective way to get that information to your guests.  It saves on postage and keeps everything cohesive as the enclosures will match your invitation suite to a T.

Invitation Wrappers (Belly Bands):

Invitation wrappers, also called belly bands, are straps used to bundle your invitation suite and enclosures.  Our invitation wrappers are made out of a text-weight white shimmer paper stock (the same paper stock used for our envelopes).  For most of our wedding invitation designs, the wrappers can be customized in a solid ink color, or can stay white with black or colored ink for any text or graphics.
