These gorgeous navy blue wedding invitations are the epitome of classic elegance. We love that this particular client took our Script Elegance wedding invitations (normally shown in black) and changed the text color to navy blue and added a navy blue striped envelope liner. While this is an extremely classic and gorgeous look, as you will see in the next few pictures, they didn’t stop there.
These nautical inspired wedding invitations took a turn for the modern when the bride and groom added an apple green belly band! It’s quite an unexpected yet pleasant surprise for this elegant wedding invite and creates a more playful and contemporary look. We thought that this design looked great in navy alone, but were thrilled to see the finished product with yet another pop of color!
In the picture above we did a tiny bit of photoshopping work to show what the invite would look like in pure navy blue. In the previous pictures, the names were in green apple, but here everything is navy. If you are going for a more classic or nautical look for your wedding, then this is the way to go. If you’re going more modern, then we recommend a touch of color such as the green apple or perhaps a pink or coral to accent the navy.
We hope you’re as thrilled about our Script Elegance design in navy blue as we are! Ordering this wedding invitation suite is easy and totally customizable to include just the pieces and options you need. Some of the available options are response cards, multiple enclosures, belly bands, envelope liners and day of accessories to match such as programs, menus and place cards. Feel free to get your order started, or keep combing through our blog for more classic wedding invitation designs.
We are totally swooning over our Flowing Script wedding invitations with a blossom pink belly band and chevron envelope liner! We initially showed this suite on our website with a peach liner and accents, but we think the light pink enhances the romantic feel of this unique wedding invitation design.
The large calligraphy names in a slightly rustic, yet chic, romantic script font are really the centerpiece of this design. The calligraphy, when paired with two classic block fonts, creates a timeless yet up-to-date feel. When the suite is bundled together, the pink of the belly band the envelope liner really compliment eachother, creating a cohesive look.
Our Flowing Script wedding invitations can include multiple pieces, such as the invite, response card and envelope, large and small enclosures for pertinent information for your guests, return and guest addressing on the envelopes, belly bands, envelope liners and matching day-off accessories (think programs, menus and more). You can customize your wedding invitation package to include all of these pieces or just what you need.

Rather than using a single, monochromatic shade of purple for your wedding, we think that using shades of purple creates a much more modern and contemporary look! Inspired by our post on these two toned modern purple wedding invitations, we put together a little purple wedding inspiration taken from our purple wedding board on Pinterest.
While we love the multiple shades of purple used on our Modern Luxe wedding invites (this set featured was done in amethyst, grape and eggplant), doing multiple shades of purple also works very well in the flower bouquets and centerpieces, along with the pretty ombre wedding cake above. In addition to using multiple hues of violet on individual items, you can also break things up by highlighting different shades of purple in different parts of your decor. The lilac flats featured above really strike a bold contrast against the vibrant grape chocolate pastries.
Because the first preview of your big day starts with the wedding invitations, your stationery is an excellent jumping off point for your overall color palette. Don’t be afraid to play with color, you might be surprised at the fun combinations you can come up with!
