Our Modern Initials wedding invitation incorporates multiple design elements such as a monogram, borders, thin lines and script to create a modern yet delicate look.  By using color, you can totally change the look of this design from soft and sophisticated to bold and modern.  We absolutely love the ethereal feel of pink and gray, but this wedding invite can take on a variety of looks and styles with just a simple change to the color palette.

While the bold borders on this wedding invitation act as their own focal point, we also love pairing it with a patterned envelope liner.  This particular couple chose a pink liner with vertical stripes, a nice compliment to the stripe like borders.  Although shown in pink, using gray for the liner would have had a similarly nice look, while making the suite a bit more masculine.

As shown in the last picture, multiple enclosures and options are available for our Modern Initials wedding invitation suite.  From guest and return addressing to invitation wrappers, liners and enclosures, you can customize your order to fit your particular needs and budget.  Get started on your order or continue perusing our blog for more wedding invitation ideas!

Whimsical Wedding Invitations in Light Purple and Orchid

By Autumn

Purple has been all the rage this year and for good reason!  We are absolutely loving these whimsical wedding invitations in a combination of orchid purple and amethyst.  The marriage of purples is sweet, romantic and contemporary… and we are head over heels.

Modern Whimsy Wedding Invitations

This particular wedding invite lends itself very well to using multiple hues of purple.  The stacked names are perfect for creating a sort of ombre effect by using two different shades of purple on top of each other.  In the following pictures you will see that this particular client loved purple so much that they added an eggplant hue at the bottom of the invitation for yet another point of interest.  The light purple striped envelope liner really brings things together.

The invitation wrapper for this wedding invitation design is done in a solid color with knockout writing, which really adds to the impact of the purple hues.  Between the wrapper, envelope liner and whimsical script font used for the heading text, this invite has just the right amount of design elements to create a pretty yet modern wedding invitation package.

Navy Blue Wedding Invitations with Script Names and Green Belly Band

By Autumn

These gorgeous navy blue wedding invitations are the epitome of classic elegance.  We love that this particular client took our Script Elegance wedding invitations (normally shown in black) and changed the text color to navy blue and added a navy blue striped envelope liner.  While this is an extremely classic and gorgeous look, as you will see in the next few pictures, they didn’t stop there.

Wedding Invitations

These nautical inspired wedding invitations took a turn for the modern when the bride and groom added an apple green belly band!  It’s quite an unexpected yet pleasant surprise for this elegant wedding invite and creates a more playful and contemporary look.  We thought that this design looked great in navy alone, but were thrilled to see the finished product with yet another pop of color!

In the picture above we did a tiny bit of photoshopping work to show what the invite would look like in pure navy blue.  In the previous pictures, the names were in green apple, but here everything is navy.  If you are going for a more classic or nautical look for your wedding, then this is the way to go.  If you’re going more modern,  then we recommend a touch of color such as the green apple or perhaps a pink or coral to accent the navy.

We hope you’re as thrilled about our Script Elegance design in navy blue as we are!  Ordering this wedding invitation suite is easy and totally customizable to include just the pieces and options you need.  Some of the available options are response cards, multiple enclosures, belly bands, envelope liners and day of accessories to match such as programs, menus and place cards.  Feel free to get your order started, or keep combing through our blog for more classic wedding invitation designs.

Romantic Purple Wedding Inspiration

By Autumn

Rather than using a single, monochromatic shade of purple for your wedding, we think that using shades of purple creates a much more modern and contemporary look!  Inspired by our post on these two toned modern purple wedding invitations, we put together a little purple wedding inspiration taken from our purple wedding board on Pinterest.

While we love the multiple shades of purple used on our Modern Luxe wedding invites (this set featured was done in amethyst, grape and eggplant), doing multiple shades of purple also works very well in the flower bouquets and centerpieces, along with the pretty ombre wedding cake above.  In addition to using multiple hues of violet on individual items, you can also break things up by highlighting different shades of purple in different parts of your decor.  The lilac flats featured above really strike a bold contrast against the vibrant grape chocolate pastries.
