A delicate pastel palette, timeless details, and a touch of personal flair made Julia and Matt’s Georgia wedding one to remember.
Set against the lush backdrop of the Sea Island Resort, this April celebration blended traditional elegance with modern romance. From their bespoke wedding invitations to the softly styled reception, every element reflected the couple’s refined yet approachable style.

The Invitation Suite: Timeless Meets Modern
We were honored to be part of Julia and Matt’s first impression—and their invitation suite was nothing short of stunning.
They chose our Penelope Wedding Invitations, which feature delicate script names paired with a refined serif font. It’s a perfect balance of tradition and contemporary style, much like their wedding vision.
Printed on white matte cardstock using our classic flat print method, the suite felt clean, polished, and luxurious in hand.

Stationery Styling: Soft Layers and Romantic Details
To complete the look, Julia and Matt selected white matte envelopes with ice blue hydrangea liners, and finished the suite with translucent vellum jackets and our pearl posy wax seals.
Each detail reflected their vision for subtle sophistication and hinted at the fresh, romantic palette guests would see on the big day. All together, the suite felt timeless, thoughtful, and wholly unforgettable—a beautiful preview of the celebration to come.

Wedding Party Style: Coordinated but Unique
The bridesmaids wore light blue dresses, some in solid hues, others in soft floral prints. Each gown was a different style, creating an effortlessly curated look. The groomsmen wore classic black suits paired with light blue bow ties that tied into the overall palette.
As for Matt—he went traditional and timeless in a black tuxedo, featuring sleek lapels, a black bow tie, and a white boutonnière. It was a nod to black-tie style, done right.

The Bride: Classic Beauty with a Modern Touch
Julia’s bridal look was a study in timeless elegance. She wore a Monique Lhuillier ballgown with intricate floral detailing in the fabric—no beading, just texture and movement.
Her hair was styled in loose, soft waves, and she opted for simple makeup and jewelry. Her gold, asymmetrical sandals added a modern twist to her classic bridal ensemble.

Ceremony Styling: A Garden-Inspired Altar
Julia and Matt’s outdoor ceremony took place just outside the Cloister Chapel at Sea Island, framed by lush gardens and ocean air. Their altar featured neutral floral arrangements with subtle touches of light blue and plenty of greenery. Roses, peonies, hydrangea, ranunculus, and more created an organic look that felt both natural and elevated.

Julia carried a bouquet that subtly brought the entire ceremony palette to life. At first glance, it appeared softly neutral and monochromatic, but a closer look revealed layers of blush and butter yellow. Designed with garden roses, ranunculus, peonies, and sweet pea, the arrangement was rich in texture and movement, creating a look that felt lush yet airy—refined without being overly structured.

The bridesmaids’ bouquets offered a complementary look in all neutrals, accented with delicate hints of light blue, while florals lined the aisle, adding softness and continuity throughout the ceremony space.

Reception Details: Luxe Touches in the Clubroom
The reception was held in the Clubroom at Sea Island, a space with elegant molding and grand chandeliers. Long dining tables were dressed in light blue linens, with floral runners that carried over the ceremony’s soft palette—think blush, neutrals, and pale blue.

Ice blue pillar candles and candlesticks, glass and metallic votives, and gold flatware elevated each table setting. Gold-rimmed stemware and vine-bordered dinnerware added extra polish, while still feeling inviting.

The sweetheart table mirrored the guest tables, but was styled with three petite floral arrangements and an abundant floral display at its base. Both place settings were finished with a different single-stem flower—a small detail that made a big impact.

The Cake: Classic Structure with Floral Accents
An elegant four-tiered design featured intricate piping, floral accents, and a custom monogram on the second tier. Florals in blush, blue, and cream adorned both the top and the base of the cake, which stood on an elegant silver filigree stand.

The Theme: Elegant Tradition with a Soft Twist
Julia and Matt’s wedding was rooted in traditional elegance, layered with modern details and a delicate spring palette. The overall design felt intentional and elevated, blending refined formality with soft, romantic touches.
Light blue, blush, butter yellow, and creamy neutrals worked together to create a palette that was both understated and colorful, striking the perfect balance between timeless and personal.
