Trends come and go, but we are pretty excited for the hottest wedding inspiration that is trending for 2017. From lush greenery and mixed metals to simple wedding invitations and branded weddings, we believe these trends are here to stay for a while. Not only are they to die for, but they also create a classic and timeless wedding. We can’t wait to see how these are incorporated into our bride’s wedding celebrations!
We started to see requests for green hues increase after we revamped our color chart in 2016 and it’s no surprise as we have been swooning over lush greenery wedding inspiration for quite some time now. Once Pantone announced “Greenery” as the new color for 2017, we knew we would be seeing this trend everywhere.
Natural and organic weddings are not only simple, but also timeless. Opt for hanging greens and long garland to create a lush garden feel. We are sure to see an increase in bouquets and centerpieces with very few florals.
The best part of the greenery trend? It fits almost any wedding theme – from an outdoor garden soiree with a classic, simple celebration to a modern black and white wedding filled with mixed metals.
Silver, rose gold, copper, oh my! We have a soft spot for metallics and always find it hard to choose just one. The essential idea to this trend is incorporating a mixture of metals into your stationery, florals, and wedding decor.
Mixed metallics incorporate color into your wedding decor on their own, so opt for more simple floral arrangements, such as white garden roses and tons of greenery. We love the look of mixed vases, geometric patterns, and matte metallic silverware.
3. DUSTY BLUE AND NAVY
Dusty blue bridesmaids dresses have been gaining a ton of popularity over blush in the last few months. Even though blush holds a special place in our hearts, we’d be lying if we said this wasn’t one of our favorite trends. Incorporate this gorgeous color in your wedding invitations and matching accessories for a completed look.
Navy is always timeless, and dusty blue adds a modern touch. Navy can be bold and elegant without being overwhelming. Either shade is strong enough to stand on it’s own, but pairing the two creates a romantic, dreamy feel while also adding dimension to your color scheme.
4. SIMPLE AND CLASSIC WEDDING INVITATIONS
There is no doubt we are excited to see simple and classic wedding invitations are becoming more sought after. Trends are shifting away from graphics and more towards minimalist design, proving our classic wedding invitations will never go out of style.
Our designs are timeless with elegant takes on trends to ensure your wedding invitations will look amazing, yet stand the test of time. You can browse all of our wedding invitations here.
5. CREATING A BRAND FOR YOUR WEDDING
We absolutely love seeing this new trend, especially since we are big believers in creating a cohesive look. Start your wedding inspiration with two to three colors and stick to those hues throughout every decision, this will ensure that nothing looks thrown together.
Begin with your stationery. Your save the dates will be the first impression your guests will receive for you wedding day. Continue the look with matching accessories that use the same design elements and fonts. We offer a range of accessories to match your wedding invitation design from save the dates and invitations to programs and menus. Choose a design you like, and let us take care of branding your wedding for you!
One of our favorite designs for creating a complete wedding suite is our Wreath Monogram wedding invitations. A tiny little olive leaf and a gorgeous monogram are carried throughout each of our pieces – perfect for incorporating greenery into your wedding as well!
Poppy is also a perfect example of creating a customized look. Using the minimalist style and delicate fonts really add simplicity and elegance to your wedding day. With all of these gorgeous new trends, tell us, which ones are you going to incorporate into your big day?!
